lifestyles, leadership skills, arts and youth sports makes us the most
comprehensive youth program in South Georgia. By supporting our efforts

Heritage Club -Restricted/Unrestricted Planned Gifts
The
Heritage Club is an association of friends of Boys & Girls Clubs of
Valdosta from all across South Georgia. Like you, these people seek to ensure
that the future needs of our youth are met by including Boys & Girls Clubs
in their estate plans. This planning might include a will, charitable gift

Jeremiah Milbank Society - $10,000 + Unrestricted
The
Jeremiah Milbank Society is designed to provide national recognition for those
individual donors who lead the way in communities by supporting their local
Boys & Girls Club with deep commitment and an unrestricted gift of $10,000
or more during a single year. Jeremiah Milbank gave of himself generously. His
extraordinary and life-long concern for youth and those less fortunate has
changed the lives of millions and is the inspiration for The Jeremiah Milbank
Society
Frank Harrison - $5,000 to 10,000
Frank
Harrison was the first member of the Boys Club of Valdosta and the winner of the
1948 Boys’ Club of America Junior Citizenship Award, which is more commonly
known as the National Boy of the Year Award.
His award gave him an opportunity to meet President Harry S. Truman, be
named the mayor of New York (for five minutes), engineer a diesel train to
Atlanta, meet Georgia Governor M.E. Thompson, and put the Boys Club of Valdosta
on the map.
Otis McCann Scholarship Fund – Unrestricted
Despite
being diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 11, Otis became an outstanding
athlete in high school and ran the second fastest time in the 100-yard dash in
the state of Georgia. After becoming a double amputee, Otis went on to become
an outstanding coach at the Boys and Girls Club of Valdosta with his devoted
love for children. Otis was more than a coach; to many, he was a father and
mentor and has coached several young men who are now playing with the NFL. Otis
received the following awards: Torch Bearer, July 11, 1996; Golden Rule Award,
April 23, 1966; Man of the Year Award, 1992.

Depending on the time of year, we may need to adjust the sponsorship offerings depending on availability during athletic seasons. For example: Baseball will not be offered during the remaining 2011 year, so we will not be able to honor the sponsorship until 2012 season.
